I met Susan when I was just 8 years old. She was my very first vocal coach back in Florida. After she moved to Tennessee, her family and mine stayed in touch and I got to come and be in her summer camps... Band Camp, Music Video Camp, and Bye Bye Birdie. We moved to Nashville a few years later and Susan decided to not just show me the town but to teach me Nashville. When she felt I was ready for the best vocal coach in the country, she got me to Brett Manning. Before long I was appearing on 'Nashville Spotlight' a show featuring young up-and comers, produce by Mike Jennings. I starred in a new musical and I even headlined in clubs. It was really hard to manage everything so my mom enrolled me in virtual school (and I'm still on the honor roll...well the virtual honor roll)
I'm 16 years old now and am a steady studio vocalist and am about to embark on a professional tour. Without Susan's constant support and coaching for me and my mom I know this wouldn't be happening so fast and almost effortlessly. I'm not saying it isn't lots of hard work but I don't put any pressure or unrealistic expectations on myself anymore. OH... she also helped me make it all the way to Hollywood with American Idol this year. I'm enjoying every moment of my climb to wherever I wind up and, am told that I'm much more focused and grounded than other kids my age. I know Susan had a lot to do with that too. A new beginning
In June of 2011 my radio show was on the verge
of being pulled. I felt like I had
tried everything and nothing I was doing was working. Out of desperation, I contacted Susan. After a few sessions she
had made suggestions that were not only working but caused a 30% increase in my
listener market. Well, I got to be honest. She has this way of asking me questions knowing that inspiration will be found in my own answers. So were they her suggestions or my realizations? I'm not sure. The point is, she got me to where I needed to be.
Her personality exudes success and an uplifting energy that helped me to take a hard look at myself and by doing so I found a renewed attitude and work ethic. Her spirit and genuine caring was truly a bright star in a sky that had become all to gloomy, and without her help I don’t have a clue where I would be right now.

She is aware of the unrealistic expectation, the negative chatter that goes on in our heads. She gets it. Since I started working with Susan I'm getting twice as many gigs as a studio musician than I was before and the quality of the jobs is on a completely different scale. My life as a harried show biz mom
My two year old twin girls have been in movies, tv, and what seems like a million print ads. While the extra money is wonderful, I have a hard time being a full time mom to two children and a manager. Susan is helping me balance it out and not a minute too soon. I'm finding out that I can say "NO" and the world really will keep spinning. -Sydney & Gracie's mom

From shy girl to opera singer
My daughter loved to sing but literally couldn't find her voice. I mean it was pretty and on key and nice to listen to but it sounded shy and small. By nature she is more of a quiet girl. For some reason she felt that she needed to break out of the shy girl role if only to sing. Susan was determined to bring her out of her shell both vocally and as a teenager in general. Not to make her like every other teen, just to find her own path.
Little did we know that under her sweet soft spoken shyness lay the soul of an opera singer (and the voice to go with it) She went from singing in Susan's little studio with her head held down to belting out opera in rooms filled with people. HEAD HELD HIGH! I hear a joy in her singing that I didn't think was possible. It makes others happy. The photo on the left is from a video that Sara starred in.
