Or, have you had something to do with the outcome of a beautiful recording which is to be released as a single and is sure to be a big hit?
Well, I hate to brag. Okay, I don't exactly hate to brag. I do hate to lie. So, honestly, I don't mind bragging when I say that I have done all of these things before. However, I have not EVER done them all in one month they way I have this crazy month of October 2013.
For starters, it looks like Mike Jennings has done it again. For those of you not familiar with the Nashville scene or for those who may have been hiding under a rock, Mr. Jennings has produced many TV shows that have helped the indie performer get some real on-air experience. Such as “Nashville Spotlight” and “The Music City Gospel
He is producing the whole thing and doing all the editing magic. But, he handed over control of the show to two teenage girls, Allison Rae & Monica (Mo) Hoffmeyer. This clearly means one of two things. Mike Jennings has really lost it. OR... this is going to be an amazing show.
I really wouldn't know what to think if Mike hadn't invited me onboard right at the beginning. But, I have seen and been part of the first taping and all the rehearsals leading up to it...And, this is one heck of a show. Allison and Mo are fun and yet, in spite of their age, they don't miss a beat. They know what is going on and how to keep everyone calm. Their parents are so awesome as are all the parents involved...and all the other performers.
One of the reasons I love doing these things is because it gives me a chance to get my students/clients involved. So, 2 of my acting students Amanda and Gabrielle Wichert came all the way from Oklahoma to get a chance to try out their dramatic skills in front of a real camera in a real studio. They were great! And of course Kayla Nettles who has been acting with me even before she moved here in 09' to star in my original holiday musical took part. (She's a total ham) Take a look at some of the pics. These are from the first taping. There was so much going on that day. I didn't get 1/10 of the excitement. Still, it will give you an idea. Just click on any of the pics to make them bigger.
Okay, just one more thing Yesterday, my student, Elaini Arthur, recorded a single that she wrote. Kevin Waugh produced it and I was there. I had heard this song at the very beginning stages and there I was, hearing it all come together in the studio. It is called "Sweet Kisses" and is to be the title track on her upcoming EP! It's a beautiful song and Kevin, Elaini, the other musicians and sound magicians really did it justice.
